Thu, 17 February 2005 I happen to be a huge Beachwood Sparks / All Night Radio fan. So I guess I just wanted to give a shout out to them. I hope I don't get in trouble using the title track as my intro.. Category: general -- posted at: 7:42 PM Comments[1] |
Thu, 17 February 2005 OK so I had a revelation last night while listening to vinylpodcast.com . I really dig the fact that he showcases on artist and /or (out of print/rare album ). That being said I opted to podcast a show on the Dallas Tx. band Tree Wave. The band features Paul Slocum and Lauren Gray. It is probably one of the best debuts by a band I've heard. His music is incredibly organic considering the fact he uses vintage computing devices to make brilliantly recorded soundscapes. You can buy the Ep
@ atariage .com or you can check out the band's website @ treewave.com. Thanks for listening & EnJoY !!!!Comments[1] |
Wed, 16 February 2005 Ok...... well # 1 kinda sucked , so I decided to start with ModPod#2.The basis of the podcast is to play and promote as many Athens bands as I can, as well as playing ultra rare and out of print records of all genres. I'm sure the shows format will change slightly from week to week as I will be adding guests and podcasting live music recorded in my living room by the cities finest ! I will be doing at least 2 of these a week. So stay tuned !
Later ,

Wed, 16 February 2005 Ok on this show I feature O.G.L.Y's Ratbot, which happened to win best Video @ the Athens Music Awards . Also in the show are tracks by Fabulous Bird ( Peter Alvanos), Beijing , Gritty Kitty , The Envelopes , and The Curl. The Curl's "Hunt The Monkey" is The Best slab of psych-surf I've Heard since The Ventures dropped acid and recorded Strawberry Fields Forever in '67. Anyway Enjoy. !Comments[1] |
